Rachel Nicholls kindly offers her stimulating paper on Wirkungsgeschichte, Is Wirkungsgeschichte ( or Reception History) a kind of intellectual Parkour (or Freerunning)?

At previous SBL meetings some authors and editors of the series have met to discuss the aims and progress of the volumes.

At SBL 2004, Scott Langston and David Gunn shared with other authors the joys and difficulties faced in completing their books, on Exodus and Judges respectively. Mary Callaway (Jeremiah) delivered a paper at the History of Interpretation session entitled 'What's the Use of Reception History?' that offered some very helpful and stimulating thoughts on the distinctive nature of Wirkungsgeschichte. At 2002 in Toronto, Scott Langston shared some of the developments on his Exodus volume. Read them here.
